Definition: A drug used to treat epileptic seizures and bipolar disorder and to prevent migraine headaches. It is also being studied in the treatment of Kaposi's sarcoma. It belongs to the families of drugs called anticonvulsants, antimanics, and migraine headache prophylactics.
